Marisa Butler is a financial advisor and environmentalist, with over five years of experience specializing in retirement planning. Marisa obtained her B.A. in Economics from Stonehill College, with a special interest in environmental and political economics. She enjoys educating her clients on how they can simultaneously invest for their own financial future, while also honoring their own personal morals. She believes the best way to do this is by incorporating ESG factors into your long-term investment decisions.
In her spare time, Marisa leads a volunteer community cleanup organization called We Clean Trails. Since 2020, the group has been able to remove over 12,000lbs of litter from San Diego County. Marisa was honored by the County of San Diego for her work with We Clean Trails with the 2020/2021 Park Ambassadorship Award.
In 2021 Marisa was crowned Miss Earth USA and went on to represent the United States at Miss Earth, where she finished in 2nd place out of 89 countries and gained the new title of Miss Earth Air. Miss Earth is an annual international pageant that advocates for environmental awareness, conservation, and social responsibility. With the environmental scholarship she received through this competition, she was able to expand her We Clean Trails efforts nationally.
Marisa is a loving dog mom to her rescue pup Milo, who was the inspiration for both her We Clean Trails organization and her first children’s book “Milo Saves The Earth”. Some of her other environmental projects include collecting data on endangered sharks with NOAA’s Corporative Shark Tagging Program, rehabilitating animals with the Center for Wildlife, and restoring nesting sites for the endangered California Least Terns.
